Gem of The Shore Scholarship Luncheon
Held each May, the luncheon awards a book scholarship to a deserving high school senior in Monmouth County, New Jersey and highlights the incredible contributions of three local educators.
Teach-A-Rama: Mindfulness Matters
An educational forum designed to acquaint teachers, parents, students and the community with various aspects and issues in education. Zeta Epsilon believes mindful thinking is the key to learning and forward progress. This session helps participants to acknowledge stressors faced by students and adults and how we are affected, explore the benefits, and learn about the application of mindfulness in schools, and is complete with a live practice of mindful pausing.
Literacy Initiatives
The umbrella of literacy is a big one! Our programming includes academic skills that supplement classroom work by providing opportunities to enhance proficiency in such areas as reading, math, language arts, science, social studies, technology and African American History.
Community Engagement
We are committed to getting out in the community to build relationships that focus on matters and issues involving education and the civil rights of children, youth, adults, teachers and professionals in education.
Health, Hypertension, and Nutrition
This programming focuses on helping children and adults to learn preventative health measures and preventive health measures and viable strategies for addressing a wide variety of health issues that confront society and the black community, such as Breast Cancer Awareness, Hypertension, and Sickle Cell Anemia.
